About me

My name is Aimee and I am a crochet maker and teacher. I am also an Occupational Therapist.

I taught myself to crochet in 2019 and haven't put my hook down since!  I instantly fell in love with the calm and happiness that crochet brought me (and others when I gifted items). I have made items ranging from blankets and hats to clothes, tea pot cosy's and amigurumi. I have even made a cervical dilation teaching tool!

Please see the Gallery for examples of my work and get in touch if you would like to discuss an order.

My teaching journey

In 2022, I volunteered at my local village "Busy Week" and ran two workshops for children. These were hugely popular and the children wanted to carry on learning. So, I started a school Crochet Club for Year 4 students, which continues to be one of the most popular after school activities. Whilst I have taught the children how to crochet, they have taught me lots about being a good teacher :)

I now teach a range of classes and hope to expand these in the future - do let me know if you can't see what you are looking for.

Why learn to crochet with me?

Crochet is so much more than the end result. It can support the development of fine motor and cognitive skills, offer opportunity for socialising and provide a therapeutic outlet for stress and anxiety.

My teaching style is relaxed and always starts with learning and harnessing the basic skills. I will always make the lessons enjoyable and personal to you and your needs.
